Harmony

Trying to create my understanding of 'harmony' by knitted textile

This is my first project at RCA. My inspiration was come from my personal feeling. When I was a child, I was inflammable and I always felt angry about everything around me. After I grow up, I try to endure my bad emotion and try to build an easy-going and positive personality. I called this harmony. So harmony become the key word of my work. Austria artist hundertwasser believes harmony means human and nature for him. He used his architects and painting to show the their harmony with nature and individual creation. After that I extracted some elements from hundertwasser’s work to draw the pictures I taken. Then I extracted my colour board. When I applied this concept to my textiles, I create harmony by applying contrast on 1 piece.
